Volunteering
People volunteer for us in a number of roles, they act as receptionists, admin and typing, and bookkeeper. We give training and provide experience that help people improve their skills which in turn helps to improve volunteers’ CV’s if they are looking for paid work.
We have enabled 9 volunteers to find employment. We also ask volunteers for their comments when they leave. Richard, our volunteer book keeper for nearly three years, recently left for a paid job. He wrote:
“Everyone involved within the law centre works very hard to help everyone, it’s been a joy to be part of that. Keep on supporting and encouraging volunteers to excel and gain confidence.”
